What should I wear?

We always recomend dressing for cold weather so you are ready for every scenario. We never recommend wearing cotton for coldweather water sports.

We recommend wearing the following when you arrive at Ryan’s Wilderness Cafe in Lowell Idaho:

  • Snug fitting wool socks or synthetic wool socks. (Bring 2)

  • Comfortable synthetic or wool undies. Compression shorts or spandex work too.

  • Compression style or tight fitting long johns for warmth as a base layer.

  • Jogger style fleece pants for active wear and warmth or similar. (Bring 2)

  • Sports bra or comfortable activewear bra. Swimsuit top is good too.

  • Comorftable baselayer for top (NO COTTON) Under Armour style long sleeve or short sleeve top for warmth. There are many nice comfortable wool shirts that are nice as well.

  • Fleece pullover jacket for layering and warmth. (Bring 2)

  • Rain Jacket or Poncho.

  • Fleece stocking cap or similar.

  • Neoprene Gloves.

Remember: NO COTTON

What if I have a food allergy?

We always try to make a diet friendly riverside lunch on all of our full day rafting trips. We typically prepare our famous Mammoth Fajitas which include: Sauted Sliced Bell Peppers & Onions, Sauted fajita chicken, Corn Tortilla chips, Flour Tortillas, Refried Beans, Spanish Rice, & the fixings. During the reservation process we give everyone a chance to discreetly tell us their dietary restrictions so we can plan a riverside meal that works for your diet.
